Good morning, C03 North Bay and D03 Powassan were both released at 9:00 am into sun/cloud skies with a 7 – 15 km/h N wind and a temp of 14 deg.   Good luck to all.

REMINDER – The Annual General meeting of the Up North Combine will be held this Sunday July 16 at 10:00 am in the meeting room at the Royal Canadian Legion 115 Back st., Bradford Ont.

Young bird flying fees must be paid at this meeting.

The cost is $150.00 for the C series and $150.00 for the D series.

Please complete two forms listing your young bird flyers including the series that they are flying.

One form along with a club cheque for the flying fees goes to Peter Kamstra and the other form is for Bruce Bidon for basket allocation.

Please bring applications and membership fees for any new members that have to be voted into the Combine to this meeting.

The forms and applications are on our website please use them.

If you have any members that need measurements please do not leave it until the last minute.

Good morning everyone, A11 Klotz Lake was released at 7:00 am with a 10 km/h N wind and a temp of 12 deg.   Good luck to all.

Shipping will be tonight for the A11 Klotz Lake race. Check back Saturday for release information.

A10 and B10 Cochrane races are being released together at 6:15 am into clear skies with a 7 km/h S wind and a temp of 16 deg. Due to high heat and humidity moving in today it was decided to not hold the B race an extra hour in order to give them the best chance at success today. Good luck to all.

Schedule Change for A11 Rupert River scheduled to be flown July 8^th.

Important Notice for all UNC OB flyers. The race committee is responsible for the safety and well-being of our birds and driver during the race season. We are also aware that any change to the schedule should not be taken lightly and should be made with enough advance warning to allow members to make necessary adjustments. With the wildfire situation in northern Quebec still a major concern and the air quality being very poor in that area, the Race Committee through its constitutional authority has changed the last race of the season from the scheduled Rupert River in Quebec to Klotz Lake in Ontario. We do not make a change like this lightly but feel it is a necessary step to give our birds and driver the safest experience possible.
