UNC Constitutional meeting has been re-scheduled to Sunday April 13, 2025, at 10:00 am in the Bradford Legion. This was the only available date that allows us adequate time to collect fees, allocate basket space, measure members who need it and implement any required rule changes before the OB season starts. I apologize if anyone was inconvenienced by todays cancellation. Member safety comes first and although the southern clubs were not badly affected by the weather the northern clubs were hit hard. At 8:00 am when enough clubs informed me that they couldn’t make the meeting, a quorum was no longer attainable and therefore risking anyone who was thinking of travelling to the meeting was not a risk I was willing to take. This decision was mine, so if anyone has issue with it please contact me. The rest of the executive are not at fault.

TODAYS MEETING HAS BEEN CANCELLED. 4 clubs have now reached out to me that they cannot attend and we will not have a quorum. I will discuss our options with the executive today to re-book another date.

Just a friendly reminder that the UNC Constitution meeting is this Sunday March 30th at 10:00 am at the Bradford Legion. The constitutional proposals will be discussed and clubs should have their OB racing dues to be paid to our treasurer. Keep in mind that there could be a weather advisory for this weekend so be smart about it. I hope to see you all there.

2025 Constitution change proposals have been received and posted on the UNC Website under the Documents tab. Clubs now have until the UNC meeting on Sunday March 30 to discuss these proposals and instruct their delegates how to vote on each of them. We will also be collecting the 2025 OB Flying Fees as well.

The latest 2024 Constitution has been posted on the UNC Website under the Documents tab. Changes made in 2024 are highlighted in yellow. Pending changes for 2025 will be posted under 2025 Amendment Proposals after they have been received by March 2nd.

2025 UNC Constitution Update meeting will be held on Sunday March 30th 10:00 am – 12 noon at the Bradford Legion. I will have the updated UNC Constitution posted on the UNC Website later today for the clubs to review and submit their potential change requests. Requests must be received by our Recording Secretary (Mustafa Karakul) or sent to me (Bruce Bidon as President) no later than Sunday March 2nd to qualify for consideration. At that time we will collate any changes and post them for the clubs to review and be prepared to vote on.

The UNC 2025 Race Schedule meeting has been booked for Sunday January 5^th, 10:00 am – 12 noon at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall in Bradford. Due to the motions passed at the annual meeting, for schedules to receive consideration they must conform to the voted-on criteria of:

11 OB weeks, with an ‘A’ Long Series and ‘B’ Short Series

8 YB weeks, with a ‘C’ Long Series and ‘D’ Short Series

Number of short series races and distances in the ‘B’ and ‘D’ series are open for discussion.

Any joint releases between the series will also be open for discussion.

Trailer usage to be like the 2024 schedule. Potentially Two (2) trailers will be used in OBs for the early weeks if numbers warrant it. Two (2) trailers are planned to be used in YBs.

Only delegates are allowed to vote, so please hold your club meetings to determine your preferred schedules for them to present and support.

UNC Executive

Just a Reminder of the UNC Annual meeting this coming Sunday at the Bradford legion at 10:00 am. There are several things all club directors should be prepared to discuss/vote on.

• Clubs should be prepared to supply a list of member names and pay their 2025 membership dues using the appropriate form found in the Documents section of our website.
• Clubs should be prepared to discuss/vote on the length of the 2025 schedule (currently 19 weeks) and how those weeks should be distributed between OBs and YBs.
• Clubs should be prepared to discuss/vote on whether we use both trailers in OBs and YBs for a true long and short series in each or keep things status quo.

All members who want change should come to the meeting and run for any of the Executive positions. It would be great to see elections for all positions rather than the standard acclamations. If you want change, the best way to get it is to run for office and work towards it.

IMPORTANT NOTICE – The Annual UNC meeting has been re-scheduled and will be held Sunday November 24th at 10:00 am in the meeting room at the Royal Canadian Legion 115 Back St., Bradford Ont. The main purpose of this meeting will be for the election of the 2025 Executive and the close out of the 2024 season. If you want to see future change or a continuation of the current direction this is an important meeting to attend. I hope to see you all there.

The Annual UNC meeting scheduled for Nov 10th has been cancelled for reasons beyond our control. We will communicate out a new date as soon as it is booked.
