Borden Bond Race

Borden Bond Race:  Due to heavy overcast and Low ceiling, birds were brought back to Matheson and released at 10am. Strike off will be Tuesday Sept 28 from 6-8pm from same shipping location. Good Luck Everyone

Sunday, Sept 26

Shipping for the Borden and Oshawa Gold Bond will be tonight Sunday September 26 for a Monday Race. At the Borden location shipping will be from 4-8 pm, and at Oshawa club house from 5-7 pm. Those at the Borden club will be able to ship Gold Bond birds and those at the Oshawa club will be able to ship Borden birds. The two drivers will meet in Orillia to exchange baskets.

Saturday, Sept 25

Shipping for the Borden and Oshawa Gold Bond will be tomorrow evening, Sunday September 26. At the Borden location shipping will be from 4-8 pm, and at Oshawa club house from 5-7 pm. Those at the Borden club will be able to ship Gold Bond birds and those at the Oshawa club will be able to ship Borden birds. The two drivers will meet in Orillia to exchange baskets. The liberators will confirm tomorrow morning at 7 AM whether shipping will proceed. This will allow more certainty regarding race day. The race is planned for Monday, September 27.Please check back tomorrow morning at 7 AM for confirmation.

From Borden Club: Unfortunately the weather looks horrible on Saturday. Shipping tomorrow night is postponed. We will see if the weather clears for a Sunday race, if not Monday looks promising

2021 OSHAWA GOLD BOND RACE JOBURKE, ON Shipping for the Gold Bond tomorrow, Thursday, September 9th, is cancelled.Due to unstable weather this weekend the challenge of avoiding conflict with the regular UNC schedule is insurmountable. Fanciers cannot have their e-clocks set up for clocking the Gold Bond race if they are possibly required to ship the same day to their regular combine race. For this reason, the Gold Bond will be delayed until September 25th with shipping on September 23rd. Please check the Oshawa website regularly for updates.Gold Bond Committee
